Our quest was to discover a combination of fibers that would overcome these limitations.
The industry was riddled with materials that exhibited significant weaknesses, such as a drastic reduction in strength after washing, low abrasion resistance when wet, poor breathability, and a lack of flexibility and comfort.
Our relentless experimentation and innovation led to a monumental breakthrough. We succeeded in developing a fibre that addressed these weaknesses and set records in abrasion resistance. This achievement marked the birth of Pekev®, a patented fibre that emerged still as the world’s safest and most effective material for protective motorcycle apparel in terms of abrasion resistance.
Developed with superior spinning techniques, PEKEV® stands as one of the strongest globally. It features exceptional tensile strength and abrasion resistance, surpassing 15 times carbon steel, and boasts high resistance to water, chemicals, and UV radiation. Proven in international tests, this fabric excels in safety and durability, even after washing as much as you like.
The vibrant city of Toronto and the pristine nature of Ontario continually inspire our designs. In 2023, we introduced an abrasion-resistant waxed cotton based on the new PEKEV® Ultra fabric and CE Level AAA certification, blending high-end safety with urban style. In 2024, we launched the first abrasion-resistant fabric from recycled cotton with PEKEV® Ultra Lite, marking our commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Compared to other polymers, also PEKEV® Lite has the highest impact strength, is self-lubricating, has high wicking properties, has a low amount of friction and is resistant to abrasion.
